Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the contractual, financial, and administrative aspects of our residential construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, including subcontractor agreements, progress claims, and variations
  • Assist with procurement, ensuring all documentation aligns with contractual terms and conditions
  • Monitor and track project budgets, costs, and forecasts, ensuring financial control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Negotiate and resolve any contractual issues or disputes with subcontractors and suppliers
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and project managers to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Manage contract administration documentation, including payment schedules, contract notices, and variations
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, contractual, and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Contract Administrator within the residential construction sector
  • Strong understanding of contract law, residential construction processes, and budget management
  • Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams
