We're currently on the lookout for a Site SHE Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of all things Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) at our Forrestvile manufacturing site. Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you'll work as a trusted advisor, coach and leader—championing a strong safety culture and ensuring we deliver on compliance, engagement, and continuous improvement.
This is a pivotal role within our team and business, where your ability to build relationships and drive accountability will help shape the future of safety at Goodman Fielder.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to HSE expert for site leaders and frontline teams
- Partner with the Site Leadership Team to embed a proactive, self-sustaining SHE culture
- Implement and continuously improve the GF Safety & Environmental Management Systems (SMS/EMS)
- Support our people through coaching, training, and capability uplift across key SHE elements
- Drive site compliance, emergency preparedness, and audit readiness
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up
- Deliver strong reporting, insights and analysis to drive smarter decision making
- Own site HSE planning, from training needs analysis to environmental performance improvements
- Support injury management and workers compensation processes in partnership with CARE teams
- Represent site in national HSE forums and projects, contributing to strategic initiatives
You're an experienced HSE professional with the passion and presence to influence leaders and engage teams. You thrive in fast-paced environments and love seeing the impact of your work on safety culture and performance.
You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in OHS, Health Science, or related field (or working towards)
- A minimum of 5 years' SHE experience, ideally in FMCG or complex manufacturing environments
- Proven understanding of Australian OH&S legislation and Workers Compensation frameworks
- Experience implementing safety systems and driving compliance
- Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to analyse and interpret data to drive real improvement
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (advantageous)
