Senior Project Engineer- Renewable Energy

Our client is a leading company within the energy industry, who is looking for a Senior Project Engineer to support their High Voltage team. The purpose of this position is to oversee upcoming HV distribution & transmission focused projects and provide engineering expertise. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong technical and project engineering background and knowledge of distribution and transmission projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and design management services across the internal and external business.
• Effectively manage the engineering project team, set clear objectives, and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Effectively manage bid risks, time restrictions, and client expectations.
• Consider the commercial/financial implications of all aspects in the provision of products and services to customers in order to maximise profit margins.
• Drive improvement initiates across projects.
• Provide mentoring to junior and senior staff in all elements of project engineering and design management.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Knowledge and experience in substation and/or line design principals and procedures for distribution, transmission voltages. Tractions experience desirable.
• Previous experience managing several significant diverse projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of bid and business development and project scoping processes
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a range of stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related field.
