Join our Ladies & Gentlemen - Director of Marketing (Parental Leave Cover)

We are seeking a visionary Director of Marketing to join The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne on a fixed-term contract to lead our marketing function during a period of parental leave coverage. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility, drive demand, and support the hotel’s commercial objectives. You will lead a talented team across digital, brand, content, and communications, ensuring every campaign reflects the elegance and excellence of The Ritz-Carlton brand. This position requires a balance of strategic oversight and hands-on leadership, fostering strong relationships with internal Marriott stakeholders and key external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of strategic marketing plans aligned with commercial goals.
  • Manage all marketing channels including digital, social, content, partnerships, and public relations.
  • Champion the brand voice and visual identity across all touchpoints.
  • Build strong relationships with internal departments and external partners.
  • Analyse market trends and performance metrics to inform marketing decisions.
  • Guide, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring disciplined cost control and maximum ROI.
  • Support and participate in associate engagement and recognition initiatives.

About You:

  • Demonstrated success in a senior marketing leadership role, preferably in luxury hospitality, travel, or lifestyle sectors.
