Enterprise Architect - Digital Transformation
Location: Fortitude Valley + WFH days
Contract: 6 Month Contract + Potential to extend
We are currently seeking an Enterprise Architect to join a transformative digital team within a large, government-backed organisation supporting Queensland’s public healthcare system. This role is ideal for a strategic and experienced professional passionate about enabling ICT-driven business change in a complex, fast-evolving service environment.
About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director of Digital Architecture, the Enterprise Architect will play a key role in shaping and implementing enterprise technology architecture. You will ensure alignment between the organisation’s ICT capabilities and business strategies, with a strong focus on value-driven service delivery.
The role involves collaborating across departmental, regional, and industry stakeholders to guide digital investment, reform, and transformation. You’ll champion lean, agile principles while delivering end-to-end architecture solutions that enable sustainability, transparency, and efficiency.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity with a strong change management focus, offering the chance to drive innovation and reform at scale within the healthcare sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and implement enterprise technology architectures that support ICT-enabled business change
- Provide strategic direction on the services portfolio to ensure alignment with organisational goals
- Lead the adoption of digital services and enterprise architecture frameworks
- Engage stakeholders across diverse teams to ensure technology meets evolving service needs
- Deliver architectural strategies, principles, and roadmaps in line with healthcare system requirements
- Advocate for service portfolio and technology reform across the organisation
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture/design in large, complex organisations
- Demonstrated ability to align digital technologies with business needs and deliver sustainable, fit-for-purpose solutions
- Strong strategic planning skills and a track record of influencing enterprise-wide technology decisions
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation skills
- Experience in ICT service delivery within a commercial or service-provider context
- Sound understanding of public sector operations - experience within the health sector highly desirable
- Proven ability to lead and deliver through transformational change
