We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic Technology Operations team. As a team member, you will play a pivotal role in working with our business and helping to support and provide engineering services to the digital platform. About the Opportunity
The .Net Developer within the Technology Operations team will undertake the maintenance of multiple applications supporting VicRoads' digital experience platforms including solution design, development, monitoring and support, tuning and deployment of services across the operate function and multiple delivery projects. You will also be required to maintain the technical documentation required for those applications.

- Technical Responsibilities Develop and support .NET applications with a focus on code quality, security, and performance. This includes implementing scalable APIs and workflows, and maintaining clear, up-to-date technical documentation for supported systems.
- Continuous Improvement and Validation Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying enhancements to development processes and tools. This includes refining acceptance criteria, supporting testers with clear guidance, and assisting with incident resolution through effective troubleshooting and fixes. Proactive approach will help prevent issues and drive delivery efficiency.
- Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with Scrum Masters, testers, product owners, and project managers to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Also contribute to Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, estimations, retrospectives, and showcases to support team delivery.
About you
You're a skilled .NET developer with 3-5 years of experience building applications using C#, .NET Core, .NET 6+, and MVC frameworks. You write clean, maintainable code and are confident working with both RESTful and GraphQL APIs. You're experienced in managing relational (SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, and you understand the importance of performance tuning and data integrity.
You've worked in Agile teams and are comfortable contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery outcomes. You bring practical experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows, using platforms like Visual Studio, Bamboo, Bitbucket, and Octopus Deploy. You're also familiar with cloud-native development-particularly using AWS services such as Lambda and API Gateway-and you're keen to grow your expertise in this space.
With a degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, you have a strong foundation in software development and a passion for continuous learning. You take pride in writing unit tests, participating in peer reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
