Solution Consultant
Prophix

See what you can do with Prophix
Prophix is on an exciting growth journey across Australia, and we’re looking for a Solution Consultant who’s passionate about helping companies harness their data, optimise their performance, and embrace the future of finance and analytics.
If you enjoy solving complex problems, building meaningful client relationships, and working with a leading-edge platform in Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and Advanced Analytics—this could be your next great opportunity.
As a Solution Consultant, you’ll partner with sales, alliance, and marketing teams to help prospects and customers see what’s possible with Prophix. You’ll lead conversations, craft tailored demos, and bring a consultative lens to business challenges across financial performance, analytics, and emerging technologies like KNIME and GenAI.
You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders across departments and geographies, but your core focus will be driving success in the APAC region.
What You Will Do
This role blends tech smarts with business insight. You’ll partner with prospects, customers, and internal teams to help organisations get the most out of Prophix—whether that’s through tailored demos, insightful conversations, or hands-on problem solving. No two days will look quite the same, and that’s part of the appeal.
- Be the go-to expert on Prophix’s Financial Performance Management and Advanced Analytics (KNIME) solutions, supporting our alliances, marketing, and sales teams.
- Bring a consulting mindset to every interaction—sharing best practice advice and helping organisations understand how Prophix’s platform, services, and partner ecosystem can support their goals.
- Work closely with resellers and implementation partners, giving them the tools and know-how to deliver compelling demos and manage the sales cycle confidently and independently.
- Lead conversations around topics like CPM, financial consolidations, ETL, data visualisation, GenAI, machine learning, and cloud architecture, helping customers make sense of it all.
- Build and deliver engaging demos, proof of concepts, and scripts that are not just tailored, but scalable across different teams and markets.
- Translate customer needs into action by clearly communicating both technical and business requirements to our Professional Services team, ensuring a smooth and positive handover post-sale.
- Be the voice of the customer internally—sharing insights with Product, R&D, and Marketing to help shape the future of our platform.
What You Will Bring
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a solid mix of real-world experience, technical know-how, people skills, and a healthy dose of curiosity. We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving business challenges, connecting the dots between data and strategy, and communicating ideas clearly across all levels.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in a consulting, implementation, business/systems analysis, pre-sales, or financial systems role.
- A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or something closely related.
- Hands-on experience building reusable solutions—whether that’s in Excel, ETL pipelines, automation scripts, or similar.
- A good grasp of advanced analytics and financial processes like planning, budgeting, forecasting, consolidations, and group reporting—whether from practical experience or academic grounding.
- A proven ability to pick up new technology quickly and translate its value into real business impact.
- Confidence presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences, and adapting your approach depending on who’s in the room.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills—you’re comfortable leading conversations, facilitating workshops, and engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including C-suite.
- You’ll need to have full working rights in Australia, and the ability to travel internationally from time to time (including to North America).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CPM, EPM, BI, DWH, or Advanced Analytics tools or platforms.
- Working knowledge of SQL, MDX, and ETL tools/processes.
- A strong understanding of both relational (RDBMS/OLTP) and multi-dimensional (OLAP) databases.
- Exposure to cloud-based SaaS platforms and broader enterprise architecture.
- Advanced Excel skills—we still love a good spreadsheet.
- A genuine curiosity and love for learning—you enjoy digging into new problems and finding smart ways to solve them.
