About the role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be part of a high performing team, with a critical responsibility to ensure all of Honda Australia’s internal and external requirements for financial reporting are delivered efficiently and effectively. This position is essential in maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial statements, ensuring they reflect a true and fair view of the organisation’s financial position. How you'll make an impact
- Lead the review of allocated monthly departmental profit and loss reports to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial information
- Prepare monthly GST and BAS reconciliations for lodgement.
- Ensure completion of month end related duties and preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and maintain accuracy of financial data
- Support in coordination of the auditing process
- Assist in the preparation and lodgement of the Annual Statutory Financial Statements
What you'll bring to Honda
- CA/CPA qualified with 2-3 years post qualification experience in accounting
- Experience in a chartered accounting firm will be highly regarded
- Strong proficiency in Excel and an understanding of office 365 products (Word, PowerPoint)
- Ability to demonstrate an innovative mindset for continuous improvements
- Experience in preparation of statutory financial reporting, including ASIC requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Understanding of IFRS 16 and exposure to SAP is beneficial
