This business has a global presence, operating in more than 40 countries around the world. They are industry experts and are leaders in sustainable construction products. The business has a diverse workforce of specialist engineers and corporate staff through to technicians, operators and customer service professionals. The business is focussed on providing environmentally friendly, safe and efficient services and products to support their clients internationally. They are looking to appoint a HR Business Partner to join their People and Culture team in Perth.

This role will see you join a national HR team providing generalist HR support, advice and project delivery to the WA client group. The role will call upon the expertise of a seasoned BP who is comfortable in providing generalist support whilst also providing consistent execution of the HR plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Business Partnering: Understand business needs, drivers, HR solutions and delivery of HR strategies
  • Provide IR advice to line Managers in P&C Policy & procedure, Award/EA or CA/Contract interpretation, and assist/support in agreement negotiations
  • Provide advice and support to Managers throughout the performance review and talent & succession planning processes
  • Workforce Planning: structures, position design, advice and support
  • Organisational Development: leadership development, training and talent development, training initiatives and programs, onboarding and performance management
  • Performance and reward: Deliver the annual performance and reward cycle for the Division
  • Ensure the accurate reporting and recording of all health and safety incidents, near hits or hazards in accordance with Company procedures.
  • Actively promote a positive and consultative HR style to the broader business
  • Participate and contribute as a change champion within the business in line with the business, growth and change strategies
  • Lead a team of 2 and contribute effectively to the transformation of the broader HR function.


The successful candidate will have considerable experience within a similar role/environment, outstanding relationship building, coaching and influencing skills. You will also have a solutions-focused approach and deal with issues and change in a proactive, positive way. You will be degree qualified in Business and/or Human Resources and previous experience working with a unionised client group will be highly regarded.
