Are you ready for your next challenge? We’re looking for an experienced Customer Service Engineer to join our team in Perth.
This is a great opportunity to step into a key customer-facing role with Malvern Panalytical, a global leader in scientific instrumentation and innovation. You’ll play a vital part in supporting our customers, delivering technical excellence, and driving service success in a growing, dynamic environment.

This role is ideal for those who enjoy variety and travel. You can expect to spend around 80% of your time on the road, supporting customers across Perth, remote mine sites, and interstate locations. Occasional overseas travel may also be required.
Flexibility is key, as on-call and weekend work may occasionally apply, but it also offers a chance to work in diverse environments, solve unique challenges, and make a real impact where it matters most.
What you will bring to the role:
Based in Western Australia, you’ll join a national team of 17 Engineers responsible for servicing and supporting XRF, XRD, and SPE instruments across Australasia. Your key responsibilities will include:

SciAps specializes in portable X-ray fluorescence (XRF), laser-based (LIBS) and near-infrared (NIR) analyzers to measure any element in any environment. SciAps is the Center of Excellence for our handheld instruments.

What you will bring to the role:
Based in Western Australia, you’ll join a national team of 17 Engineers responsible for servicing and supporting XRF, XRD, and SPE instruments across Australasia. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Installation, commissioning, and calibration of instruments
- Performing preventative maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnosing and repairing instruments during breakdowns
- Providing technical support and solutions to customers
- Maintaining detailed service records and documentation
- Collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure high service standards
- 5+ years of field service experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
- An Advanced Diploma or higher in Electronics with strong electro-mechanical skills
- Solid IT literacy and the ability to work with various digital tools
- Flexibility to travel at short notice, including remote and interstate locations
- A current Perth Electrical Work License (mandatory)
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Experience with X-ray fluorescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), or neutron analysis (advantageous but not essential)
