We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified, Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled and multi-disciplinary Cardiac Care Unit. This role requires a post-graduate qualification in critical care and recent clinical experience within Cardiac Care.
Our Cardiac Care Unit offers extensive medical and surgical cardiac services to a varied patient group. Specialising in elective procedures, the unit focuses on coronary diagnostics and interventions, electrophysiology studies, and device implantations.
You will be responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and the co-ordination and supervision of care delivered by junior staff and students within Critical Care.

The Position
- Provides direct total patient care to patients to achieve identified outcomes in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures and Care Paths.
- Demonstrates knowledge of/and functions in accordance with legislation and common law affecting nursing practice and acknowledges accountability/responsibility for own actions.
- Maintains and promotes harmonious interpersonal relationships and effective teamwork, between staff, patient, relative, doctors and ancillary staff.
- Assists and collaborates with team members in the assessment of allocated patients.
- Ensures accurate and timely documentation.
- Communicates effectively with all members of care team and reports changes in patients’ status to appropriate personnel.
- Initiates discharge planning on patients’ admission to ensure appropriate use of all resources and the patient/family are well prepared for discharge.
- Documents any incidents and reports these to NUM/ANUM.

The Benefits:
- Salary $68,093 to $96,175 plus 12% superannuation
- Permanent full-time position available
