About The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Surveyor to join our WA based FIFO team. This is a full-time position, and the successful applicant will be offered a diverse role with the ability to work on a variety of great projects whilst continuing to develop their career.
Fyfe currently have several FIFO projects across Western Australia, ranging from major infrastructure to energy and resource. These projects offer disciplines including engineering, civil, cadastral and 3D reality capture surveys. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to liaise with clients and develop project management principles.
Skills & Experience
This is a hands-on role that requires an experienced Surveyor to work on a various range of projects. You will be responsible for maintaining quality survey control, as-built reports, design calculations and liaising with a range of major clients.
The successful applicant will have high level communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and staff to ensure successful delivery of projects in WA.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications in surveying or equivalent experience
- High level of technical expertise in Surveying, preferably 8+ years experience in a similar role
- Experience in the oil & gas industry (SMP and Dimension Control Surveying)
- Sound understanding of appropriate Australian standards and legislation
- Proficient in using a variety of survey equipment including UAV/Drones, 3D Laser Scanners, Leica GNSS and Total Station equipment
- Proficient with Autodesk Civil 3D
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a changing work environment
- Proven communication skills, respectful of your peers
- Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions for issues as they arise
- High level of organisation and attention to detail are a given.
- Ensuring the quality of survey projects
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders
