We are seeking a passionate HR Advisor, responsible for a wide range of HR activities and initiatives to support our business to grow. As our HR Advisor, you will play an active role in engaging and supporting our workforce to deliver exceptional care to our residents. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and support on ER/IR matters, ensuring compliance and best practices are maintained. Based at our office in South Perth, this role will involve traveling to our various sites throughout the Perth metro area, meeting our incredible teams.

The Role Of HR Advisor Will

  • Deliver a proactive human resource service to the organisation including performance management, disciplinary, grievance, absence management and probation.
  • Develop effective policies, procedures, toolkits and deliver training to management on all HR driven policy and procedure.
  • Champion and engage in workforce planning to assist managers and employees to identify current and future need and maximise capability through succession planning and career management.
  • Assist the business to deliver human resources, industrial relations, workforce planning and organisational development strategies.
  • Monitor external changes in industrial relations and undertake action to review internal processes to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Lead, influence and support management with the implementation of key HR projects and initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and advice in the interpretation of various Agreements, Awards and industrial legislation that applies across the organisation.
  • Be the primary contact for employees on ER and IR Matters.
  • Work collaboratively with the People & Culture team to offer a positive experience to the organisation.

To Be Successful In This Role

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Prior experience in a Human Resources Advisory role.
  • Sound knowledge of contemporary human resources management principles and practices, and relevant legislation, standards and industrial instruments within Australia.
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of Fair Work and NES.
  • Strong experience in proactively managing employee relations issues including interpretation of legislation and industrial instruments
  • Well-developed communication, consulting, coaching and negotiating skills.
  • Motivated to effect change through continuous improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a good sense of humour goes a long way at RAAFA!

  • Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one
  • Have a National "C" Class Drivers Licence
