Description

Are you a strategic land use planner with contributions planning experience? Join our dynamic team and play a key role in guiding Council decisions about land use to enhance social, economic, environmental, and recreational opportunities for everyone.

Temporary Full time – up to two years

Salary

$107,749 to $120,258 per annum (based on 70hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About The Role

In your new temporary role you will be involved in exciting strategic land use planning projects within the Hornsby local government area and have the opportunity to assist with project plans, infrastructure schedules, documentation and reports to ensure the delivery of updated Section 7.11 and Section 7.12 Contributions Plans.

Position Requirements

Applicants should have completed a Town Planning Degree and have sound experience in;

  • Land use planning,
  • Development contributions planning
  • Environmental planning, and
  • Local Government legislation

About You

You are an enthusiastic, pro-active, and results oriented person with strategic land use planning experience, good organisational and time-management skills and knowledge of the development contributions planning framework. You have a commitment to good quality customer service and consultation with government authorities, applicants and the public. You can work independently and within a team and can communicate, report and present strategic land use planning issues to Council and the community.
