Job Description

The HR Operations Manager leads the HR Operations function, ensuring the seamless execution of transactional / cyclical HR activities and programs of work. This role drives operational excellence through structured planning and execution, strong stakeholder engagement, and continuous optimisation of systems and processes that support our people and business strategy.

Key Responsibilities Will Also Include:

  • Lead, develop and support the HR Operations team to deliver fast, accurate and consistent HR support (e.g. contract generation, store recruitment, first-level queries, and internal HR communications).
  • Act as an escalation point for operational HR issues and escalated queries, ensuring timely resolution and effective outcomes.
  • Drive process improvement by identifying, leading and embedding initiatives to streamline, automate or simplify HR operations.
  • Ensure all HR operations processes are clearly documented, regularly reviewed, and easily accessible to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Own the HR calendar and drive proactive planning and alignment of key HR activities.
  • Manage HR systems partnerships, working closely with IT and vendors to ensure systems are fit-for-purpose, well-supported, and continuously improved.
  • Partner with Remuneration & Reporting to deliver accurate and meaningful HR reporting and insights to the business.
  • Lead and support key HR programs (e.g. Engagement Survey, Talent Cycle and Peak Trade Recruitment).
  • Act as the primary business contact for HR Operations, building strong relationships, influencing outcomes, and ensuring alignment across the broader HR team and wider business.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading HR operations / advisory centre teams in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of modern HR practices and service delivery.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Highly skilled in simplifying and automating HR processes.
  • Confident navigating systems (e.g. SmartRecruiters, DocuSign and Zendesk).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to engage, influence and align stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to expertly manage multiple competing priorities.
