The Midfield Group is privately owned and operates a true ‘Paddock to Plate’ experience as we own farms, factories, and distribution as to ensure we retain control of the key elements of the process of getting livestock from paddock to plate.

The Midfield Group (through MBC National) is looking for a Cook to join our team at the Union Station Hotel in Woolsthorpe, Victoria.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • examining food to ensure quality
  • regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • preparing and cooking food
  • seasoning food during cooking
  • portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
  • storing food in temperature controlled facilities
  • preparing food to meet special dietary requirements
  • may plan menus and estimate food requirements
  • may train other kitchen staff

Skills & Experiences

  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)
  • At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
  • You have the right to work in Australia
  • You must pass a drug & alcohol test and be willing to undergo a pre-employment medical and Q Fever Vaccination if required

Salary Range: AUD65,000 to AUD75,000
