Are you a commercially savvy buyer with a passion for product innovation and customer experience? Baby Bunting is seeking a dynamic Buyer to lead the car safety category – managing Car Seats and Accessories – within our high-performing Travel category.

This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to shape the future of one of our most critical categories. There’s never been a more exciting time to join the business. Future focused, we’re rolling out innovative store concepts and revitalising our existing network to deliver exceptional experiences for both current and future customers.

Your Impact

  • Own the buying strategy for car seats and accessories, driving profitable growth and market leadership.
  • Build and nurture supplier relationships, negotiating the best mix of product, price and terms.
  • Analyse performance, trends, and customer insights to deliver compelling, compliant ranges.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, planning, digital, and store teams to create seamless customer experiences.
  • Champion product safety and regulatory compliance in partnership with QA & Product Compliance.
  • Lead weekly supplier meetings and contribute to promotional planning and execution.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in retail buying, merchandising or category management.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with technical or hard good high-value categories (nursery, baby gear, or similar preferred)
  • Confidence to provide constructive feedback to suppliers and drive product improvement.
  • Familiarity with product safety standards and marketing compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, merchandising, or related field.
