What You’ll Do
Responsible for managing the shipping/freight forwarding for import and export consignments whilst following Eaton safety standards and country legal compliance requirements.
Maintain in transit register. Provide updated shipment to store date daily to production scheduling and sales.
Maintain shipping register. Record daily air freight shipment and weekly sea freight shipment related data into the shipping register excel spreadsheet for statistics and analyst purposes.
Liaise with freight forwarders, customs broker and transport company to ensure efficient handling of our shipments and legal compliance. Lodge shipping documents; obtaining HSC from GTM and pass onto broker. Answer broker’s queries relating to shipments during clearance process; monitor fumigation and or quarantine process; delivery order release. Arrange delivery timeslot with transport company; receiving freight invoices and verifying match.
Monitor all customs entries to ensure correct duty paid, and correct tariff classification, or eligibility under FTA.
Liaise with Accounts Department. Answer AP inquiries that relate to supplier invoices; lodge freight invoices weekly; verify and approve invoices via the Markview tool; provide monthly freight accrual to finance.
Receipting discrepancies.
Liaise with warehouse. Prepare weekly container delivery list; scan & file all documentation for each air and sea freight occurrence. Record any over or short supply item quantities. Under & over supply tracking.
Managing and maintaining container delivery schedules.
Handle export shipments for daily air freight and fortnightly sea freight shipments. Prepare shipping documentation, lodging booking with appointed courier and freight forwarder. Provide shipping labels to warehouse. Manage Customs clearance & approvals.
Perform data and information updates in Oracle. New part number creation, stock quantity adjustments, changing receiving location and stock book on request by other internal parties. In conjunction with Receiving Store person, action RMA returns and co-ordinate system updates with QA and reman departments. Manage New Item Part Creation process
Liaise with APAC HQ to ensure competitive rates and efficient service is provided. Work with SCM to resolve any issues that present during the shipment transaction to ensure DIFOT.
Inventory control. Administration of inventory movements. Monitor and assist with inventory accuracy, including stocktake and cycle counting.
Liaise with Freight service providers to check and ensure best rates and most efficient service is provided. Work with SCM Manager to check and process freight charges.
Weekly & monthly reconciliation of pick tickets & sales orders.

Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Business Administration or similar
- 3+ years’ experience in Shipping management
- Strong understanding of international shipping procedures.
- Competent with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Proficiency with Oracle, SAP or similar ERP system
- Display excellent interpersonal communication skills, customer focus attitude ,self-motivation and a “Can Do” attitude are essential attributes.
