Our opportunity
Part of the Mirvac Design team and reporting to the Technical Quality Compliance Manager, as a Technical Lead you will be responsible for Assisting Documentation Manager and Technical Quality Compliance Manager in reviewing the process of documentation for all projects, ensuring that the highest standards are achieved and maintained.
You will be documenting standard and typical details and upkeeping the templates and details library and ensure standardisation and buildability of details to achieve efficiency and design quality.
You will support Documentation Manager and Technical Quality Compliance Manager with required documentation reviews of projects as well as scheduled reviews for maintenance of compliance with ISO9001 certification.
Finally, you will assist the Project Architect in documentation on projects on as need basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assist Documentation Manager and Technical Quality Compliance Manager to investigate, evaluate, establish and implement appropriate documentation standards, guidelines, templates and quality review systems to ensure that Mirvac quality standards and requirements of projects are met
Assist in preparation of documents for obtaining compliance with ISO9001 Certification
Participate as required in documentation reviews to assist Documentation Manager in ensuring that these take place regularly for every project and every package without affecting project programme
Ensure all established Design guidelines and Principles are adhered to in templates and details library
Ensure all architectural detailing in the templates and library comply with relevant standards, BCA, and other appropriate regulatory requirements
Ensure standardisation and efficiency in documentation.
Assist in ensuring that documentation quality and efficiency is uniform across all project teams
Understand Safety in Design and ensure consistency in approach across standard details.
Work with Digital Technology team to ensure all Documentation Templates are up to date and to the required established standards
Participate as required in the technical team meetings to develop and implement strategies regarding documentation standards, quality assurance and safety in design
Assist Documentation Manager in reviewing projects during Construction, identifying issues which may give rise to changes in documentation methodology
Assist in the research and development of new technologies, materials and techniques related to projects
Your point of difference
The ideal candidate is an Architect or an Architectural Draftsperson with at least 5 years of experience and a High-rise residential design background.
Key skills and experience:
High level of computer literacy. Revit knowledge is essential
A mature knowledge of the construction industry and the design process.
Knowledge of contractual and building regulation obligations
Exceptional coordination skills with the ability to manage priorities and time to produce quality output.
Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external clients.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Self-motivating and professional standards and outlook.
Strong work ethic.
Good judgment ability, timely decision making, adaptable and versatile.
