About the Project
Georgiou is proud to be part of the Tonkin Extension Alliance - a key infrastructure initiative that will improve connectivity and safety across Perth's north-eastern corridor. With major road upgrades and new transport connections underway, this project presents a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in WA's infrastructure landscape.

Due to continued growth across Australia, Georgiou is seeking a Traffic Planner to join our project-based construction team who will assist in traffic tendering, planning, and management. The location is in the Byford region.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Planning and Programming
  • Review project drawings and specifications to develop an understanding of the project scope, activities and traffic management requirements
  • Liaise with management to determine the sequencing required to complete the project scope and relate this information into a chronological list of activities broken into work areas.
  • Provide input into Risk reviews when required
  • Traffic Management
  • Prepare, monitor and review implementation of project Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Guidance Schemes
  • Review and assess traffic management impacts on the network, ensuring design compliance with specifications, standards, and conducting compliance inspections and suitability reviews
  • Work with site supervision to monitor work activities for production and effectiveness of resources and implement improvements with respect to activity costs.
  • Liaise with project teams to develop, review, and deliver traffic staging, Traffic Management Plans (TMP), and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS), ensuring performance is monitored and communicated effectively.
  • Liaise with traffic consultants to develop, review and deliver traffic management plans where external resources are required to manage workload
  • Develop integrated programmes to ensure construction needs are achieved.
  • Obtain approvals from third party authorities (e.g. LGA, PTA, Police)
  • Delivery of TCPs traffic management to programme.
  • Review -non-complex and complex TMPs/TCPs
  • Organise and liaise with Road Traffic Manager for complex Traffic Management Plans
  • Assist in organising and closing out RSAs
  • Manage bookings and scheduling for the installation, modification, and removal of temporary line markings and barrier systems
  • Assist in the development and approval of permits for temporary safety barriers and document any changes, updating control drawings promptly
  • Ensure the Daily Diaries including details of any non-conformances and corrective actions, details of any changes to traffic control devices, details of traffic controllers on site, etc. is completed.
  • Provide advice on technical standards and traffic management guidelines, supporting legislative compliance and TMP training for team members
  • Ensure best practice is achieved through adherence to standards as specified;
  • Monitor and track budget against cost codes including providing assistance during procurement phase to ensure scope is correctly identified.

What You'll Bring
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in a similar role in the engineering or construction industry
  • Good time management skills
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience leading traffic coordination on WA infrastructure projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • AWTM ticket (this can be obtained would be preferential for a BTWM (Basic Worksite Traffic Management) ticket
