Our Defence & Social Infrastructure team are seeking a Phase In Manager for as part of a project transition for a Fixed-Term Engagement until 27th March 2026 with potential for an extension.

The Phase-In Manager Will Be Responsible For

  • Management and governance of Phase In Workstreams, including governance of;
    • Workstream Phase In meetings
    • Subcontractors which may include audits and plant, materials, and equipment checks
    • Recruitment and Defence security requirements for new Ventia employees
    • Site audits on existing plant, equipment and facilities
    • the procurement of appliances and specialist equipment
    • the development of plans required to be submitted during phase in
    • Line management of junior Phase In staff, including providing support and guidance
    • Communication and liaison with the client (Dept of Defence) including attendance at key client/Ventia Phase In meetings
    • Review, development, monitoring, updating and reporting of Transition Schedules, checklists and plans
    • Manage and report on risk and mitigation strategies
    • Feasibility investigations of plant and equipment solutions and development and submission of associated business cases
    • Proactively identify and recommend solutions to improve processes
    • Cost monitoring of phase in expenditure
    • Site visits where necessary

    About You

    To be successful in your application you will have a qualification in Engineering and/or Project Management with government stakeholder engagement experience accompanied with:

    • Strong logistics coordination skills and experience
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Results focused with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, assist the generation of solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome.
    • Ability to successfully engage stakeholders from various levels of the business.
    • Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level
