What this opportunity involves:

As the Assistant Building Operations Manager at 333 Collins St, you'll oversee daily building operations including contractor management, security, cleaning and car park operations, and maintenance coordination to ensure a seamlessly functioning property. This position is an initial Fixed-Term opportunity, with a potential to become permanent.

An overview of the role:

  • Manage contractor pre-qualification, inductions and site requirements
  • Oversee Building Automation System (BAS) daily
  • Coordinate and manage cleaning services, car park operations, and waste management
  • Serve as first point of contact for security operations and ad hoc requests
  • Complete regular property inspections and close out tenant work requests
  • Ensure compliance with Essential Safety Measures requirements
  • Coordinate emergency breakdown rectification
  • Maintain site records, logbooks and contractor database
  • Manage operational issues, repairs and maintenance within expenditure limits

  • Demonstrated knowledge of technical services including HVAC, BAS, fire safety and electrical systems
  • Experience in property industry, specifically Building Services and Facilities Management
  • Understanding of compliance and risk management requirements
  • Contractor management experience
  • Ability to handle complex issues within tight operational deadlines
  • Goal-oriented approach focused on meeting performance targets
  • Excellent client service and communication skills
  • Strong teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite
  • Qualifications in Facility Management or related field (desirable)
