We are now seeking an experienced Data Governance Analyst.This role will have you involved in the delivery of strategic data governance initiatives, such as data retention, protection and quality management. This is a full-time contract opportunity based in our Head Office in Melbourne CBD.We offer a flexible working environment, where you can spend your time between office and home.
To be successful, you will ensure that data assets are documented, classified and managed according to the company policies.

Day to day responsibilities will include
- Collect and document information about company data assets.
- Analyse data retention requirements.
- Classify data assets according to their confidentiality.
- Analyse data flows and document data lineage.
- Implement data quality rules.
- Support data stewards in monitoring and resolving data issues.
- Facilitate periodic data governance activities such as retention rule reviews.
- Develop and facilitate data management training.
Relevant Qualifications, Experience, Skills And Capabilities Will Include
- Tertiary qualifications at a degree level in data management, computer science, risk management, or a related field
- CDMP certification and/ or DAMA membership (highly desirable)
- At least 3+ years experience in a data governance role
- Experience in business analysis and Data catalog, such as Microsoft Purview or Collibra
- Strong stakeholder management
- Superior time management
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail
