Project Manager – CPS 230 | 12-Month Contract
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of an APRA CPS 230 Regulatory Uplift Project. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring this business-critical regulatory project is delivered on time, within scope, and in line with business priorities to ensure compliance outcomes. You will work closely with senior leaders, the project team, and key stakeholders across Risk, Legal, Procurement and Business Continuity to manage project delivery from initiation through to implementation.

Project Manager – CPS 230 | 12-Month Contract

You will work closely with senior leaders, the project team, and key stakeholders across Risk, Legal, Procurement and Business Continuity to manage project delivery from initiation through to implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of a regulatory uplift project, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts to ensure timely and efficient execution
- Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and changes throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity of responsibilities and effective collaboration across streams
- Monitor and report on project progress, status, and health to senior stakeholders and steering committees
- Ensure regulatory requirements are translated into actionable project deliverables and implemented effectively
- Support business readiness activities in partnership with Change Managers to ensure smooth adoption and transition
- Manage multiple vendors
- Proven experience delivering complex, multi-stakeholder regulatory or compliance-related projects within financial services (Banking or Insurance), ideally APRA CPS 230
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and the ability to interpret and implement compliance requirements
- Solid grasp of project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate with executives, risk, procurement, legal, and operations leaders
- Strong planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with a results-driven mindset
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting plans as required in a dynamic regulatory environment
- Experience working in programs involving risk, compliance, operational resilience, or technology uplift is desirable
- Lead high-impact regulatory transformation initiatives with enterprise-wide visibility
