Business Unit Overview
Our Operations unit is the engine room of Superloop - responsible for maintaining and supporting all of our products and internal technical infrastructure to ensure the best possible service to both our customers and our very own business. Our Operations unit is responsible for ensuring that the business has the technical capability and capacity to deliver services to all Superloop customers ranging from Home Broadband to International Wholesale.
Reporting to the Infrastructure team lead the Senior Infrastructure Engineer is a highly skilled position to support Superloop business infrastructure systems. The teams are responsible for all elements of IT and infrastructure including building and maintaining the highly available virtual stack across the world.
You will be joining at an exciting time to deliver the new 3 year IT strategy.
Role Purpose
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Superloop, you will provide short-term support with the design, delivery, and maintenance of our corporate Infrastructure. Reporting to the Infrastructure Team Lead, the Senior Infrastructure Engineer plays a critical role in the design, implementation, and ongoing support of Superloop’s global IT infrastructure. You will work across cloud and on-prem environments, acting as a senior technical leader within the Corporate Infrastructure team.
This role supports both business-as-usual operations and strategic projects. You will collaborate closely with our DevOps and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure the infrastructure enables rapid, secure, and reliable software development and service delivery. You will also be the technical gatekeeper for AWS infrastructure and lead implementation of secure Single Sign-On (SSO) across internal, third-party, and SaaS platforms.

Hypervisors and virtualisation platforms (e.g., KVM, VMware)

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Architecture & Operations
- Manage Superloop’s corporate infrastructure stack, including hypervisors, virtual machines, and AWS environments.
- Design, document, secure, monitor, and integrate infrastructure services across hybrid environments.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance, aligned with SLA and compliance expectations.
- Lead infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle planning, and continuous improvement projects.
- Deploy and manage infrastructure across public/private cloud platforms, including hyper-converged infrastructure.
- Oversee and support compute and storage systems within the corporate datacentre
- Manage internal corporate networks (non-customer facing), ensuring availability and performance
- Support and maintain AWS, Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID environments
- Administer and harden Active Directory, Entra ID, and authentication systems.
- Maintain and optimise a predominantly Linux-based global server fleet (with some Windows).
- Support CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling by ensuring the underlying infrastructure is robust, efficient, and secure.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to provision, configure, and manage development and testing environments.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, system configurations, and procedures.
- Ensure infrastructure is audit-ready through version-controlled documentation and adherence to change management practices.
- Drive automation, efficiency, and system hardening initiatives to improve service delivery and reduce operational risk.
- Research and implement emerging technologies aligned with business growth and security strategies.
- Lead and participate in day-to-day operational management, including monitoring, incident response, and service restoration.
- Maintain vendor relationships and manage infrastructure-related third-party services.
- Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation.
- 8+ years in infrastructure engineering or system administration roles.
- Proven experience with:

Windows AD - Auth Configuration for Linux Flavors
