About The Role

As a Senior Business Analyst – GenAI, you’ll work closely with product, design, and delivery to shape solutions that matter. You’ll help us ask the right questions, challenge assumptions, and make sure we’re solving the right problems, not just delivering features. With GenAI becoming a key part of how we work, you’ll also help translate business needs into smart, scalable AI-powered solutions.

What’s Involved

  • Lead workshops and discovery sessions to uncover what really matters to customers and the business.
  • Break down big ideas into clear, actionable user stories that guide the team’s delivery.
  • Collaborate with AI Engineers to shape GenAI features that solve real business problems.
  • Translate business needs and hypotheses into GenAI solution requirements.
  • Analyse and communicate performance metrics to show impact and guide iteration.
  • Support the adoption of GenAI automation across business units.
  • Help shape the product backlog and support sprint planning, retros, and reviews.
  • Mentor junior BAs and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a natural problem-solver who’s curious, collaborative, and customer-obsessed. You know how to bring people together to find the best path forward. You thrive in agile teams and love seeing your work make a real difference.

You’ll enjoy working with cross-functional teams to bring ideas to life. Have well-developed written and verbal communication skills and communicate clearly and confidently - whether it’s in a workshop or a one-on-one.

You’ll be able to stay calm under pressure and keep things moving, even when it gets complex. You are passionate about great user experiences and practical solutions, love learning and helping others grow.

You’ll Need

  • Strong demonstrated experience in business analysis or a similar role (ideally around 7 plus years).
  • Strong background in agile delivery, including discovery-to-delivery practices.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and translating insights into user stories.
  • Solid understanding of AI best practice and understanding of emerging technologies
  • Confident working with data to inform decisions and measure impact.
  • Tertiary qualification in commerce, computer science, or a related field.

As part of your application, include your up-to-date resume plus a cover letter outlining your experience with Gen AI and how you use Gen AI daily to enhance business processes, efficiencies or customer experience.

You’ll be part of a workplace where you’ll feel like you belong.

Bunnings strives to ensure everyone is treated fairly and our team are committed to supporting you at any stage of your recruitment journey. Be sure to let us know if you require an adjustment and we can provide the most appropriate support for you. If you have the experience, skills and a passion to grow but don't necessarily nail every single point in the job description, please still apply.
