We are currently seeking an experienced Mining Estimator, to play a crucial role in supporting our internal estimating team.

What We Offer

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Understanding of commercial and legal contract conditions.
Work with mine planning engineers to ensure that mine plan is optimised for the tender.
Evaluate mine production schedule of the tender to determine fleet size requirements.
Planning and scheduling utilisation of manpower and equipment consistent with efficiency targets.
Prepare operation and project cost estimate based on mine production schedule.
Analyse actual direct mining costs and overheads to aid in developing tender costs.
Monitor and analyse site production performance to determine parameters for use in budgets and tenders.
Develop accurate tenders that are practically orientated with due consideration of the scope of works.
Assistance in generation of mine site budgets.
Analysis of site operations and methods to ensure cost effectiveness.
Assist in consulting studies to ascertain the economic value and feasibility of a potential mining project.
Understanding and application of mining principles, design concepts and operations
Usage and understanding of limitations of relevant mine planning, design, and scheduling software.
High proficiency in application of estimating principals and systems
Link the mine engineering technical outcomes to financial results.
Knowledge of mine operation regulatory and legislative requirements.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

To Be Considered For This Role You Will

Hold a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering
Demonstrate sound written and oral communication skills
Actively participate and contribute to the continuous improvement and innovation of work practices
Experience in the mining or contracting sector
