The Opportunity
As a Senior Stakeholder Advisor – Consumer & Community, you will design and deliver meaningful engagement strategies across community and consumer groups. You will work alongside senior leadership, policy makers and technical experts to ensure alignment, transparency and a proactive approach to stakeholder communications. This role is a an 18-month fixed-term contract in a hybrid work environment, offers direct exposure to executive leadership and complex, high-impact initiatives and provides a collaborative and values-driven team culture.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Stakeholder Advisor – Consumer & Community, you will design and deliver meaningful engagement strategies across community and consumer groups. You will work alongside senior leadership, policy makers and technical experts to ensure alignment, transparency and a proactive approach to stakeholder communications. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and implement stakeholder engagement and communications plans across consumer and community-focused initiatives
- Build trusted relationships across government, industry, and community stakeholders
- Translate complex policy, reform or technical information into clear, accessible messaging
- Monitor social licence trends and provide strategic advice to business leaders
- Facilitate consultations and manage stakeholder feedback processes
- Mentor peers and contribute to uplifting engagement capability across the organisation
- Support strategy development, reporting, and compliance with regulatory frameworks
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, social sciences or a related field
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and corporate communications, ideally in energy, government, policy or regulated sectors
- Ability to distil complex topics into impactful messaging tailored to diverse audiences
- Strong understanding of political, regulatory and legal frameworks in complex environments
- Resilient, diplomatic and collaborative – you’re someone who builds relationships with ease and can manage competing stakeholder needs
- IAP2 Certificate in Engagement (highly regarded)
