Site Engineer – Remedial Projects


Based in Eagle Farm, Brisbane | Initial Project on the Gold Coast


Freyssinet Australia is seeking a motivated and capable Site Engineer to join our Remedial team in Brisbane. Based at our Eagle Farm office, this role will involve the delivery of complex remedial works including concrete repair, structural strengthening, protective coatings, and waterproofing, helping extend the life of key infrastructure.


About the Role

As a Site Engineer, you will work alongside the Project Manager to deliver specialist remedial projects across Queensland. Your first project will be located on the Gold Coast, where you’ll have the opportunity to lead and contribute to works in a hands-on, technically focused environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in the planning, execution, and completion of remedial projects across structures, buildings, and bridges
  • Interpret and apply technical drawings, specifications, and engineering designs
  • Ensure project activities meet safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Support cost control, scheduling, and project forecasting
  • Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project requirements
  • Conduct inspections, complete QA documentation, and maintain reporting standards
  • Provide technical guidance and on-site supervision
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery


Skills & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a Graduate, Junior, or Site Engineer role, ideally within remedial, structural, or civil construction
  • Exposure to concrete remediation, waterproofing, structural strengthening, or coatings is highly regarded
  • Sound understanding of Australian engineering codes and site practices
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with project or engineering software is a plus
