About The Role
We are looking for a Fixed Plant Planner to join our diverse Maintenance Planning & Engineering team to create and manage executable work orders aligned to the maintenance strategy – balancing asset condition, risk, material system requirements, and cost.
Reporting to the Planning Superintendent, you will
- Review approved notifications, allocating initial priority for non-urgent tasks & provide feedback, when necessary to originator on status of the notification
- Detailed planning of work orders, assigning material and resource requirements for approved non-urgent work
- Review maintenance history, reschedule reason codes, and planning accuracy feedback to ensure continuous improvement of maintenance tactics
- Initiate Rotable Process on non-urgent preventative and corrective work in collaboration with the appropriate asset class Subject Matter Expert
- Routinely review maintenance forward log taking into consideration asset criticality, statutory work compliance, material and rotable availability, defect severity and safety impact to ensure the right work is occurring at the right time
- Identify any potential scope conflicts and repackage activities, amending duration of required down-time when necessary
- Arrange specialised external contractors for planned work ensuring purchase orders are in place and logistics are arranged
- Participate in relevant Work Management and Shut Management routines to review and mature the plan into an executable schedule
- Ensure the Bill or Materials and maintenance task lists are updated appropriately through the Business Ticketing System
- Escalate any major variance of actual vs plan and identify opportunities to realign spend vs budget
- Provide input to Planning Superintendent Specialist Planner in alignment with quarterly budget planning & reforecasting process
To succeed in this role, you will have
- Current " C Class" WA Drivers License
- Experience in maintenance planning and/or scheduling for mobile fleet or fixed plant
- Possess intermediate to Advanced use of MS office (Excel / Outlook / Teams)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, process advocacy and coaching, and the ability to be flexible in your work based on business needs
