What is the role
We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our Perth-based Service Delivery team. This full-time role is office-based during standard business hours (Monday to Friday) and includes participation in an on-call roster and occasional after-hours work as needed.

What is the role
We're looking for an experienced IT Systems Engineer to join our Perth-based Service Delivery team. This full-time role is office-based during standard business hours (Monday to Friday) and includes participation in an on-call roster and occasional after-hours work as needed.
You'll provide technical support across infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms, and end-user systems, while also contributing to ongoing maintenance and project delivery. Working closely with both clients and internal teams, you'll help ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing IT environments.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing remote and onsite support for a variety of client environments
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and networking issues
- Installing, upgrading, and configuring IT infrastructure (on-prem and cloud)
- Acting as an escalation point for junior technicians
- Collaborating with clients to understand technical needs and deliver tailored solutions
- Monitoring systems, responding to alerts, and managing incidents in line with SLAs
- Documenting technical procedures, solutions, and project work
- Liaising with vendors when required
- Recommending and supporting implementation of new technologies
- Contributing to ongoing improvement and automation initiatives
- Keeping your technical knowledge up to date through self-study and training
- Strong Communication Skills Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Written and verbal communication skills must be to a high standard.
- Self-Management Proven track record of working independently while maintaining high productivity and accountability.
- Technical Proficiency (Intermediate Level or Higher) Candidates must possess hands-on experience and working knowledge in the following areas:
- Microsoft 365 (M365) – administration and support
- Microsoft Security Solutions – management & support
- Networking – preferably with Cisco Meraki technologies
- Backup Solutions – ideally Veeam or similar platforms
- Server Infrastructure – both on-premise and cloud-based, including:
- Windows Server
- Hyper-V
- VMware ESXi
- End user & desktop devices - administration and support including computers and smart phones
- Minimum 5 Years in Technical Support Roles Ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, supporting a diverse range of clients and infrastructure setups.
- Multi-Client Support Exposure Experience managing and troubleshooting systems across multiple customer environments, with a strong focus on service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Monitoring and Maintenance Proven ability to respond to alerts, perform root cause analysis, and carry out preventative maintenance tasks.
- Microsoft Certifications
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Networking Certifications
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Backup & Infrastructure
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Hyper-V or Nutanix experience
- ITIL Foundation Certification (for service management best practices)
- Experience interacting with change management processes including writing requests for change
- Familiarity with RMM tools and PSA systems such as ConnectWise
- Experience physically installing and maintaining networking equipment and other infrastructure at client sites and in a data centre environment
