Senior PMO Scheduler | Digital Systems Integration | Federal Government

- Contract: 12 months + 6 months extension | Based on the discretion of the Department
- Location: Canberra, ACT (Hybrid/ Flexible)
- Security Clearance: Baseline Security Clearance (Preferred)
Key Responsibilities Of The Position
- Develop and maintain the master program schedule aligned with departmental and enterprise-level planning standards.
- Drive critical path analysis, risk identification, and delivery confidence assessments in close collaboration with leadership and PMO.
- Facilitate scheduling workshops, milestone reviews, and timeline alignment meetings across delivery teams and vendors.
- Monitor and manage cross-program dependencies, risks, and issues and ensure integration with dashboard and reporting tools.
- Provide schedule reports and executive-level summaries to governance bodies and key stakeholders.
- Support program assurance activities such as audits, gateway reviews, and risk-based performance reviews.
- Advise teams on schedule best practices, tools, and governance expectations across hybrid (Agile/Waterfall) delivery environments.
- Act as the central liaison for all scheduling and timeline matters across the transformation program.
- Proven experience in schedule management within large-scale digital or government transformation programs.
- Expertise in tools such as MS Project, or equivalent scheduling software, with a strong grasp of dependency mapping, milestone tracking, and schedule integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex interdependencies, workstream alignments, and mitigate timeline risks effectively.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including presenting to senior executives, delivery partners, and program steering groups.
- Understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and the ability to operate in hybrid environments while applying sound project management principles.
- Experience leading schedule planning workshops and coordination forums across business and technical streams.
- A proactive, analytical mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and collaborative risk management.
