We are currently partnering with a major ASX-listed retail group that serves millions of customers through its extensive store network and fast-growing online channels. Off the back of strong year-on-year growth, they are now seeking a part-time Commercial Analyst to support their operations team with data-driven insights. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and proactive professional who thrives on business partnering with operations and senior stakeholders to drive commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with supply chain, operations, and procurement teams to drive cost optimisation initiatives
  • Analyse product costing, freight and logistics spend, supplier performance, and inventory holding costs
  • Deliver insights on production efficiency, wastage, and resource utilisation
  • Lead financial modelling for new product development, market expansion, and tender opportunities
  • Develop dashboards and KPIs to track performance across key business units
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles with commercial insights

Skills And Experience

  • 4-6 years' experience in commercial or financial analysis, ideally in a manufacturing, FMCG, or supply chain-driven business
  • Strong understanding of product costing, operations finance, and commercial performance metrics
  • Strong Excel, Power BI and ERP experience (SAP, JDE, Oracle) highly regarded
  • Excellent communication and business partnering skills - able to simplify the numbers and influence non-finance stakeholders
