Position Profile
The primary responsibility of the Midwife is to deliver comprehensive, evidence based midwifery care for clients within the scope of practice of a Midwife. To provide clinical supervision for Newly Qualified Midwives and students, dependant on level of experience.

Position Profile

To Be Successful You Will Have
- Extensive experience and commitment working in midwifery led, women-centred models of care, with advanced skills across the continuum of care.
- Knowledge of and demonstrated practice within the boundary of, the current Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia professional guidance for Midwives and the Australian College of Midwives National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and Referral.
- Demonstrated ability and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people including demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the WA Health Aboriginal Cultural Respect Implementation Framework.
- An ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven commitment to quality improvement activities, customer service and clinical governance within the health care sector.
- Current knowledge of legislative obligations for Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Work Health and Safety, and how these impact on employment and service delivery.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
