Join Our Team As Assistant Accountant

We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join our finance team at our Box Hill Support Office. Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main priorities will be Fixed Assets and Accounts Receivable, along with a variety of accounting functions that contribute to the production of accurate and timely management accounts. You’ll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting tasks, develop your technical skills, and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records that support the company’s operational success.

Key focus of the role includes, but not limited to:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and financial reporting
  • Maintain the fixed asset register by entering new assets, processing depreciation, asset transfers
  • Perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Process monthly revenue files and prepare customer invoices for low volume, high value debtors
  • Control and allocate debtor receipts and assist with follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable balances
  • Collaborate with the Patient Billing Administrator to reconcile debtor balances between CRM and the general ledger
  • Produce ad hoc financial reports, capital expenditure (capex) reporting, and other finance tasks as needed
  • Build strong, collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and the Finance team.

What We’re Looking For

  • All rounder with a ‘can-do’ approach
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, or Finance
  • Working towards CA / CPA
  • 2-3 experience in an accounting or assistant accountant role with strong accounting skills
  • Proficient written and spoken English skills for communicating with stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and willingness to learn
  • Intermediate level skills with MS Office and accounting software
  • A collaborative attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
