About the opportunity:
At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Registered Nurse, you'll help create cherished moments and better health outcomes for residents each day.
- Oversee Clinical Care: Manage and supervise the delivery of high-quality clinical care to aged care residents, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Care Plan Development: Develop, implement, and review individualized care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team to meet the specific needs of each resident.
- Staff Management and Training: Lead and support clinical staff, including nurses and allied health professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a skilled workforce.
- Monitoring Health Outcomes: Regularly assess residents' health and well-being, coordinate medical interventions, and track health outcomes to ensure continuous improvement in care delivery.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to legislative, regulatory, and organizational policies, and maintain accurate and timely records and documentation for audits, assessments, and quality control.

To thrive in this role, you will have
- A current and valid registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working in aged care, with a demonstrated understanding of aged care clinical practices and standards.
- Proven leadership capabilities, including staff management, mentoring, and team coordination.
- Expertise in managing complex clinical cases, including chronic health conditions, palliative care, and medication management.
- Additional qualifications in areas such as gerontology, leadership, or aged care management (e.g., Certificate IV in Leadership and Management) are highly desirable.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- NDIS clearance
- Valid work rights
