Our client is a federal government organisation with offices throughout Australia. Due to growth, they are seeking an APS 6 DevOps Engineer to join their team in Richmond or Geelong. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing RESTful APIs to support various application functionalities.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain real-time dashboards for monitoring application performance and user metrics.
- Identify issues and/or errors and support the resolution of any technical problems that arise during iterations.
- Develop and maintain applications and scripts that reduces development chores.
- Implement APIs to support various application functionalities and integrate with ALM tooling such as Gitlab, Jira, Microsoft Teams.
- Define a plan to optimize application performance and support designing, building, testing, and maintaining the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) process.
- Demonstrate effective communication for collaborating with team members and stakeholders
- Support DevOps initiatives such as continuous integration, continuous delivery, code deployment and system automation, ultimately ensuring that complex systems are operating optimally.
Essential Criteria
- At least 2 to 3 years’ experience a role involving development of full stack applications on NodeJs using frameworks such as React/Vue/Next.js.
- Demonstrated experience with Atlassian Jira, VSCode and DevOps practices.
- Experience working in a large enterprise environment
- Experience working in a support environment maintaining a CI/CD environment.
- Experience with GitLab build/deployment pipelines creation, maintenance and monitoring.
- Comfortable with new ways of thinking about accessibility and enthusiasm about accessible design & development will be highly regarded.
- Experience working in a Salesforce environment would be highly appreciated
