THE ROLE - Credit Assessor

This newly-created permanent role is working for one of Australia's fastest growing financial services businesses, and will work within a team of credit assessors to:

  • Ensure all loan applications, including review of security and servicing, meets the organisation’s credit criteria and risk appetite
  • Recommend and escalate loan applications to other DLA holders which are outside the CA’s exposure limit
  • Conduct credit assessment and approval within DLA
  • Liaise with Valuers, Solicitors, Brokers and Financial advisors as required
  • Prepare Letters of Offer/variations as required
  • Attend to phone calls and email queries within agreed SLA
  • Workshop scenarios with Business Development Managers to best meet credit guidelines
  • Maintain missing information reporting and assist where required by management to improve submission quality
  • Maintain high data quality standards ensuring all loan details are updated and maintained in a timely manner
  • Ensure all lending adheres to risk appetite and credit criteria, policy and procedures

YOUR SKILLSET

You could be a great fit for this role if you have:

  1. Prior credit experience, either from a mid-tier bank, global bank OR non-bank lender
  2. Brokerage experience is an advantage
  3. Held a DLA previously (highly desired)
  4. Strong communication skills


Considering both early career AND experienced candidates - salary range from $100- 122,000 package, depending on experience.
