We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a proven background in structural integrity assessments, offshore structures, and multidisciplinary project delivery.


About the Role

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of complex offshore and onshore brownfield projects. You will be responsible for independently performing advanced structural analysis and design tasks, leading the development of technical documentation, and supporting multidisciplinary teams across all phases of the project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through detailed design, fabrication, and installation.

This position demands deep technical knowledge, strong project execution capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will also provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers, contributing to the overall quality and consistency of engineering deliverables.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct hands-on structural analysis and integrity assessments, including Fitness-for-Service (FFS) evaluations and structural steel design.
  • Lead the preparation, checking, and verification of engineering deliverables such as models, calculations, technical drawings, and reports.
  • Coordinate closely with structural designers to translate engineering concepts into detailed and accurate drawings.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and efficient project solutions.
  • Provide input into design planning, estimation of man-hours, and preparation of tender documentation.
  • Develop and manage schedules and budgets for assigned work scopes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure all designs comply with project specifications, applicable codes (e.g., API, ISO, AISC, DNV, Australian Standards), and internal procedures.
  • Support fabrication, construction, and offshore installation activities, including site visits and technical assistance as required.
  • Attend project meetings and contribute to design reviews, progress tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Interface with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure alignment across all stages of execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, standardization, and mentoring of junior staff.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in offshore structures, brownfield modifications, and detailed design.
  • Strong background in structural analysis, design of steel structures, and bolted/welded connection detailing.
  • Extensive experience in offshore and onshore oil & gas projects is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in analysis software such as Space Gass, SACS, Mathcad, and Navisworks.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, BricsCAD, and 3D design platforms (e.g., PDMS/E3D, S3D).
  • Experience with advanced tools like Sesam/GeniE, Usfos, and FEA/coding applications is advantageous.
  • Knowledgeable in fabrication techniques, material specifications, and structural integrity principles.
  • Demonstrated capability to deliver high-quality outputs across the full project lifecycle.
