Camp Quality brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer. There to support children and their families, from the heartbreaking news of a cancer diagnosis, through every step of the experience. The Events and Fundraising Manager is a hands-on, relationship driven position dedicated to the delivery of exceptional fundraising events and initiatives. This role will support in the development and execution of Camp Quality’s signature events, WesCarpade and Convoy (national), adventurous multi-day motoring events where participants spread joy whilst raising awareness for Camp Quality’s programs and services.
With a commitment to excellence, this role will coordinate pre-event marketing strategies as well as build and nurture integral relationships with sponsors, volunteers and corporate partners. With strategic vision, you’ll leverage data analysis, emerging fundraising trends and best practice methods to deliver memorable and engaging supporter experiences. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and managing one direct report, this role will lead, plan, execute and evaluate all community fundraising activities to achieve annual targets.
About YOU
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing an events and community fundraising programs, including digital promotion and engagement,
- Exceptional communication, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences,
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead relationships with community stakeholders, sponsors, volunteers and committee members,
- Strong strategy and planning skills, as well as experience in managing and delivering budgets,
- Proactive and creative, with the ability to innovate and improve events year on year,
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and multitask seamlessly,
- Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation, practices and philosophies of charitable giving,
- Passion for working in the NFP sector and a commitment to Camp Quality’s purpose,
- Qualifications in marketing, events, fundraising or the equivalent experience at a management level,
- Ability to work on weekends and outside of standard business hours as required for each event, including availability for local and interstate travel.
