The Opportunity
In this full-time role, you'll work as part of our Ecology team using your expertise to deliver flora and vegetation surveys (desktop, reconnaissance, detailed and targeted surveys) across WA.
You will be hands-on throughout every stage of project delivery, including proposal preparation, survey design, fieldwork, taxonomy, data management and analysis, reporting, project management and engaging with clients, regulators and other stakeholders.

About You

Essential Criteria
- A tertiary qualification in Botany, Conservation Biology, Environmental Science or similar.
- Minimum 4 years of field survey experience in WA (ideally including the Swan Coastal Plain, south-west and interzone regions).
- Strong knowledge of State and Federal environmental legislation and guidelines.
- Proficiency in identifying WA flora in the field and with diagnostic keys.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly for scientific and technical reporting.
- Competency with software such as QGIS, Fulcrum, R or similar.
- Available to do fieldwork (typically scheduled between Monday and Friday).
- Self-motivated, responsible and able to work autonomously as well as within a team.
- Current C-class driver's licence and 4WD experience.
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
