About the role:

The Technology Operations team is currently seeking a Supervisor, Technology Operations Centre to join them on a 5:2 roster based at Perth for a 13 Month Fixed Term Contract. The TOC 24/7 Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the stability and reliability of technology services that underpin mining operations.

Reporting to the Manager Technology Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Technology Centre. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure and make decisions quickly.

This role is critical in proactive incident management, minimizing business interruption through accelerated resolution and strong communication skills with business stakeholders around the clock.


Duties:

  • Provide leadership for TOC analysts and ensure 24/7 coverage for monitoring, incident response, and operational support.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to team members, ensuring high performance and adherence to procedures.
  • Act as Major Incident Manager (central point of contact) for technology-related incidents.
  • Forge strong relationships through collaborative and transparent engagement with stakeholders, to provide timely updates on incidents and increase effectiveness of TOC to minimise service interruption occurrences.
  • Lead & Develop TOC 24x7 to ensure proactive service monitoring and response to support high availability and performance of critical operational technology.
  • Ensure all activities are performed in line with Hancock Iron Ore technology processes, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records in ServiceNow.
  • Identify opportunities and improvement initiatives for Technology processes, tools, and TOC performance.
  • Provide feedback and contribute to the development and refinement of operational procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in leading and developing a technical team including overseeing people performance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related domains and/or demonstrated, relevant industry experience which may include Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
  • Experience working with Service Management Skills and ITSM Tools
  • Experience in mining software solutions
  • Experience in Remote Technology Operations
