Join QTC as a Technical Project Manager and you will be part of a PMO team that is passionate about leading and delivering strategic projects. In this 12-month maximum term role, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver impactful organisational and/or technology projects. The role requires a person who is a great team player, comfortable working across multiple projects, creative, driven and a problem solver. You will bring a strong technical acumen, with the ability to manage complex IT infrastructure and workplace technology initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of technical solutions aligned with business goals.
What You’ll Do
QTC is the central financing authority for the Queensland Government and provides financial resources and services for the State. We manage the State’s funding program in the global capital markets to deliver sustainable and cost-effective borrowings for the Queensland Government, local governments, and other related entities (our clients).
With a statutory role to advance the financial interests and development of the State, we help to deliver innovative, long-term solutions that contribute to the growth of Queensland’s economy. We protect Queensland’s financial interests and deliver better financial outcomes by centralising the management of our clients’ borrowings, cash investments, and foreign exchange.

You will bring a strong technical acumen, with the ability to manage complex IT infrastructure and workplace technology initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure successful delivery of technical solutions aligned with business goals.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of workplace and infrastructure technologies for a commercial office fit-out across three levels.
- Oversee the end to end implementation of work place technologies, including:
- Network infrastructure and structured cabling
- Meeting room AV and collaboration tools
- End User Computing (EUC) devices and peripherals.
- Smart workplace solutions such as occupancy sensors, desk booking platforms, visitor management systems, smart lockers, and mobile-based digital credentials
- Physical security systems (CCTV, access control) and digital signage solutions
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including business cases, plans, budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Monitor and track project performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, policies, and best practices.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, resolve issues, and escalate challenges as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment by providing leadership, guidance, and support to project team members including outsourced delivery partners
- Proven experience in successfully delivering workplace and infrastructure technology projects.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder engagement and management at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A strategic, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset.
- The ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant qualifications, including:
- A tertiary qualification in information technology, business management, or a related discipline.
- Project management certifications (essential).
- Postgraduate qualifications in project management or information technology (desirable).
