About The Role

As a WHS Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting a proactive safety culture across Eldercare sites. Reporting to the WHS Team Leader and working closely with site management and HR, you will assist in the coordination, promotion, and continuous improvement of WHS programs in line with Eldercare’s policies, values, and legislative obligations.

  • Coordinate WHS programs and ensure compliance with WHS Act & Regulations 2012 and Aged Care standards
  • Support site WHS Committees and assist in audits, inspections, mock drills, and reporting
  • Maintain safety registers, track incidents and hazards, and follow up on corrective actions
  • Assist with risk assessments for new equipment and manual handling procedures
  • Promote staff wellbeing and health initiatives
  • Liaise with internal trainers to support manual handling training and other safety education
  • Ensure major WHS Programs are implemented at site level
  • Assist in the evaluation and risk assessment of new equipment
  • Be responsible for delivering and coordinating WHS meetings


What You Will Bring

  • Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience in WHS
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and systems
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and influence positive safety behaviours
  • Computer literacy with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (vulnerable) and clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue.
