What To Expect
As Channel Manager - Events and Retail Energy you’ll be responsible for developing opportunities and building engagement across our Channel Network, developing an events playbook and supporting retail energy. This is a big role, with big responsibilities and big opportunities for the successful candidate.

Requiring someone with a strong marketing background this role will predominately focus on nurturing and engaging our channel of Certified Installers across ANZ, uncovering proactive opportunities to engage our Certified Installer Network and collaborate with them to drive engagement and value to make Tesla products the only choice for their customers. This role will create impact and help drive leads to our Channel Network & Tesla through Local Area Marketing initiatives while helping build awareness of Tesla Energy products in local communities in ANZ.

This role will require Trans-Tasman and travel across Australia on a regular basis to ensure exponential growth across these important markets.

You’ll be working with our channel partners, providing them with support for their marketing efforts along with working closely with key partners to execute joint initiatives to grow awareness and sales of Tesla Energy products.

This role will be responsible for the channel marketing plan in conjunction with sales, accountable for growing and engaging the channel network along with executing the plan. To complement the channel strategy, you’ll be required to lead the execution and development of events across ANZ, from Expos to support Certified Installer growth and engagement through to local events in partnership with installers to grow customer leads.

The role will also be responsible for managing retail energy leveraging upsell strategies. You will be required to work across the various team to ensure that efforts are implemented across channels.

The role reports to the Demand Generation Lead – APAC (based in Australia) and will be required to follow their direction. This role can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne.

What You'll Do
The ideal candidate is a self- starter, who can uncover new opportunities and execute quickly on those initiatives while managing competing priorities. They will be comfortable operating with tight deadlines with little supervision and at time ambiguous briefs – giving the ideal candidate an opportunity to shape channel engagement, growth and co-marketing opportunities with our channel partners and sales.

You’ll be comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships across sales, engineering, legal, design, copyrighters, operations, motors and the global energy marketing team along with Channel partner teams. You are a team player, willing to support your teammates to succeed across projects, uncovering ways to cross-collaborate to ensure organizational and team objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the Demand Generation Lead, Energy, APAC, you’ll work closely to deliver strategic and tactical marketing programs to help deliver awareness, consideration and ultimately conversion across our channel network for Tesla’s residential energy products and ecosystem with our channel partners.
  • Responsible for the growth, engagement and marketing management of our channel partners. Seeking opportunities to partner with them to generate leads and awareness of Tesla products in local communities across Australia and New Zealand.
  • This role will be accountable for the delivery of Tesla owned trade events and expos to help drive installer growth and engagement.
  • The role will also be responsible for proving out and scaling co-marketing events with our channel partners across ANZ. This will include executing existing local showroom activations through to larger format expos. This role will be required to build the strategy, test and learn and pitch into channel partners.
  • Support the ANZ sales team to recruit Certified Installers through varying initiatives including Trade Expos and recruitment strategies.
  • Lead the development of an integrated strategy to engage and grow Certified Installer sales.
  • Work in collaboration with the motors team to execute joint events including expos and showroom launches.
  • Work closely with the Demand Generation Manager – Performance and Content to activate paid opportunities at a local level i.e event opportunities through partners or paid media.
  • Responsible for monitoring, tracking and reporting on the success of campaigns and always on activities to ensure ROI objectives are met.
  • Deliver weekly reporting and analysis on key Certified Installer metrics, onboards, engaged and active including number of Certified Installers who have committed to co-marketing activations with Tesla Energy and ensure that leads are being converted by our partners.
  • Effective budget management, ensuring approved budget requests are delivered and in full each quarter, meeting defined business objectives and ROI targets.
  • Ensure brand guidelines are maintained across all channels.


  • What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics or Management, or evidence of exceptional ability and 5+ years of relevant hands-on work experience.

  • Renewable Energy experience a plus but not required
