The Opportunity - Benalla Location

The Speech Pathologist role will work across Acute, Residential Aged Care and Community Health departments at the hospital. The position involves contributing to both adult and paediatric patient care by providing communication and swallowing assessments where necessary and implementing high standard evidenced-based treatment. The role involves support and education for clients and carers to assist in informed decision-making processes.

The position is permanent full-time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based assessment and therapy for communication and swallowing needs across both paediatric and adult populations
  • Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Facilitate therapeutic, educative, and support group sessions as required
  • Deliver education and guidance to clients, families, and carers to support informed choices and ongoing care
  • Manage and prioritise a diverse caseload while meeting service and documentation deadlines
  • Liaise professionally with internal team members and external service providers to ensure coordinated care
