Randstad is currently recruiting for an AO4 Communications Advisor to work with the State Government on a number of infrastructure projects based in the Gold Coast.
In the role of Communications Officer, you will contribute to the efficient delivery of the South Coast Region's program through the provision of correspondence and communication support to program managers and teams across the region.

Responsibilities
- Assist Research information and prepare, or provide input to briefing notes and correspondence to ensure a clear, concise
- and consistent response to the public and key stakeholders.
- Respond to region-related media enquiries and prepare draft media statements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of information, project data and correspondence in accordance with departmental standards and records management procedures.
- Promote and reinforce the need for internal control processes and continuous improvements that support effective business planning and program/project delivery outcomes.
- Previous experience in dealing with difficult stakeholders and critical conversations.
- Current holder of a Class C driver’s licence with own vehicle to attend various sites, offices and face to face meetings.
- Required to undergo employment screening (for example a criminal history check) as part of our selection process.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in a comparable role.
- Experience in a strategic communication or community engagement role in an environment dealing with major infrastructure projects, particularly in the transport or civil engineering sector, will also be highly regarded.
