Lead Veterinarian – Full-Time Opportunity

Kew Vet & Cattery is offering a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced veterinarian ready to take the next step in their career. One of our long-standing team members is relocating to be closer to family, opening the door for a dedicated and skilled veterinarian to lead our team.

This role is perfect for someone who wants to continue delivering high-quality medicine and surgery, while also stepping into a leadership position with the support to grow.

Whether you're an experienced leader or looking to develop your leadership skills, you’ll have the guidance & support from your Regional and Vet Manager.

Your Clinical Lead Vet Role

Work closely with a team from the sister clinics (including membership holders). The sister clinics are Hawthorn East and Alphington & Fairfield.

  • Take charge of daily operations and play an active role in strategic planning as part of our leadership team.
  • Manage a varied caseload with clients who are engaged and supportive of comprehensive care.

  • Be part of regular clinic and vet team meetings to share ideas, shape protocols, and drive innovation.

Who We’re Looking For

  • A vet with at least 5 years’ experience and a passion for ongoing learning.
  • A confident and capable mentor, ready to support and upskill others.
  • A collaborative leader who inspires through action and leads by example.
  • Someone who enjoys the operational side of veterinary practice, including planning and team development.
  • Analytical, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities using clinic data.
  • A strong communicator who builds lasting relationships with both clients and colleagues.
  • A passionate advocate for excellence in clinical care and client service.
  • A genuine interest in fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
