What You’ll Do

An opportunity in Hervey Bay has become available for a proactive, detail-oriented person looking to contribute to the team 25+ hours a fortnight to make a real difference in the lives of our elderly residents. The role requires someone who is highly organised, able to juggle various duties, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment at our Fair Haven Residential Aged Care facility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the preparation of meals; maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment.
  • Assist with the serving of meals, including setting up and cleaning the dining room, trolleys and trays.
  • Maintain the laundry duties including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the facility’s residential areas.

To be suitable for the position, ideally you have:

  • Certificate II in Cookery or similar (desirable)
  • Previous relevant experience, preferably within a team environment. (desirable)
  • Experience working in the aged care industry. (desirable)

  • A current National Police Check
