About the role:
As the Conversion Optimisation Lead, you'll drive rapid, measurable growth across our marketplace by improving conversion rates at every critical touchpoint - from job submission flows for homeowners to lead capture for tradies.

This role sits within both the core Acquisition Team and the Marketplace Growth Team, where you'll lead the Marketplace Conversion team - a cross-functional team working across marketing, design, engineering and analytics. Together, the team will build and scale an experimentation pipeline to optimise modal flows, landing pages, forms and onboarding experiences. Your objective is to increase the volume of high-quality jobs by homeowners and qualified leads submitted by tradies through continuous optimisation and testing.

How you will add value:


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside Product Designers, Engineers, Analysts and the Head of Acquisition & Growth to implement fast iterations aligned to OKRs.
  • Full Funnel Ownership: Own end-to-end optimisation across high-intent touchpoints, including homeowner job posting and tradie lead submission flows.
  • Experimentation Engine: Build and run structured A/B and multivariate tests across desktop, mobile and app experiences.
  • Rapid Feedback Loops: Use insights from analytics, heatmaps, session recordings and user interviews to uncover friction points and conversion drop-offs.
  • Optimisation Systems: Establish and maintain a CRO playbook and prioritisation framework for experimentation.
  • Impact-Driven Execution: Prioritise initiatives that deliver outsized impact on conversion and marketplace health metrics.

About you:


  • 6+ years' experience in CRO, digital experimentation or growth optimisation, ideally within marketplaces or performance-focused digital environments.
  • Strong experience using tools like Google Optimize, GrowthBook, Optimizely, VWO, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Hotjar or similar.
  • Proven track record of delivering quantifiable lift across funnels via testing and iteration.
  • Able to balance statistical rigour with scrappy, speed-first testing in high-velocity environments.
  • Comfortable working closely with design, engineering and analysts to ship impactful changes quickly.
  • Confident in pulling insights from data tools and translating them into test hypotheses.
  • Familiarity with UX best practices, persuasive design principles and behavioural psychology.
